The Role

Based at our modern Head Office in Honley, Huddersfield (also open to remote working from locations around the UK) we have a new exciting role for a Chartered Structural Engineer to assist and support a varied workload including new build and refurbishment including investigation and reporting activity with bias towards social housing, low and high-rise developments. 

The successful candidate will be expected to work independently, although under the direction and with the support of our wider teams, and contribute to the ongoing development and review of company standards and policies. Good client liaison skills and effective communication skills are essential.

Ideal Candidate:

  • High level construction technical knowledge
  • Chartered Engineer and member of either ICE or IStructE
  • Minimum 3 years post chartership qualification experience
  • Experience in design and calculations, with technical competence in most structural materials
  • Familiarity with current British Codes, Regulations and knowledge of relevant EuroCodes
  • Degree qualified in appropriate subject
  • Competency in the use of AutoCAD with a structural background
  • Operating proprietary software for structural calculations such as TEDDS
  • A proactive approach in dealing with clients in a productive and competent manner
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and written articulation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A team player with the determination to drive projects forward
  • Driving licence and willingness to travel to various sites across the UK
